I was wondering ssus the two lower SATA connections that are ran by the Promise controller act the same way? No you can’t mirror C:. Its like one is for using during the F6 operation during the OS install, and the other you would install after Windows is installed.

Had my Windows set up on one drive, wanted to go to Raid 0. If it was up to me I probably wouldn’t update them because I beleive p4c00 the saying “Don’t fix it if it ain’t broke”.

Imaged my drive, made my raid 0 array, try to restore the image to the raid. Hook up both your drives and go into the BIOS. After wards i then changed the ones on the sata controllers delixe non raid. Here you create your Array of drivers either striped or mirrored.

Configure RAID with Asus P4CE Deluxe – TechRepublic
Before you do anything here and if you’re going to reinstall XP then you should create a floppy disk with the drivers for the Promise RAID controller built in on the mobo. The Promise Controller is not Plus its shared with all other PCI devices. Everything went just fine. Anyway windows and BIOS see all hdd’s attached to the system. Not sure what to do.

My operating system Win XP Pro and applications are installed with all my tweaks and it’s running perfectly. Mistake on the controller. Don’t really want to install the same OS twice.
